Alameda Mayor's 4th of July Parade
Dear Alameda Little League Families,
We’re excited to announce that Alameda Little League will once again be participating in the City of Alameda’s Annual 4th of July Parade!
We warmly invite all players and families who are available to walk with us in the parade and proudly represent Alameda Little League. It’s always a fun and festive way to celebrate Independence Day, show our community spirit, and support our league.
We’re excited for everyone who will be walking and riding with us in the 2026 City of Alameda 4th of July Parade—thank you for helping represent our league with pride and enthusiasm!
If you would still like to participate, you can sign up here.
Please review the details below to help ensure a smooth, safe, and fun parade day.
Where to Meet
Please arrive no later than 9:30 AM.
The Parade Staging Area is located on Lincoln Avenue. To reach the staging area, take Clement Avenue or Pacific Avenue to Grand Avenue, then turn left onto Lincoln Avenue.
We strongly encourage participants to be dropped off nearby and walk to the staging area rather than driving directly down Lincoln Avenue, as traffic will be heavy and access may be limited.
All participants should meet at our assigned parade staging location:
Our parade number is TBD and will be shared as soon as it is assigned by the City. Look for the numbered markings on both sides of the street and gather promptly at our designated location by 9:30 AM.
To help locate our group, look for Sean McDermott in a blue Mercedes convertible clearly marked with Alameda Little League signs. He will be leading our parade entry.
Parade Start & Finish
The parade officially begins at 10:00 AM.
The official parade route ends at Webster Street and Lincoln Avenue. To help avoid congestion at the end of the route, our group will continue walking approximately one additional block before stopping to disperse.
If your player is walking in the parade, please consider arranging pickup with a family member after the parade concludes. Otherwise, participants should be prepared for a longer walk back across Alameda.
Hydration & Safety
We will have a supply of water bottles available for participants.
However, we strongly encourage everyone to bring their own reusable water bottle. Parents are also welcome to bring wagons stocked with additional water to help keep our group hydrated throughout the morning.
Important Safety Reminder: All bike and scooter riders under the age of 18 must wear a helmet. This is required for participant safety and in accordance with parade regulations.
Player Attire & Parade Handouts
Players are encouraged to wear their team jerseys and hats.
Shorts and comfortable footwear are recommended, as temperatures may be warm. Please dress comfortably while showing your team spirit!
Parade handouts are TBD and will be provided for players to distribute during the parade.
Important: All items must be handed directly to spectators. Throwing items is prohibited under parade safety rules.
