Alameda Little League 12 y/o win District 4 Championship!

The Alameda Little League 12 Year Old International All Stars won the District 4 Championship tonight defeating North Oakland 5-3 in 9 innings. The game was knotted up at 2-2 at the end of regulation. The teams played the 7th under traditional rules. International tie-breaker rules then kicked in with each team starting with a runner on 2nd in the 8th and 9th innings. Neither team could score in the 8th. Alameda scored 3 to NOLL's 1 in the 9th sealing the victory. Alameda was the visiting team decided by coin toss.

The next stop for the 12's are Section level games that will be played in Petaluma. Host league is Petaluma Little League. The team's next game is July 16 and will play the winner of District 3 vs. District 53 to be played on July 14. Game time is 4:00pm.

The winner of the Section level games will advance to the NorCal state tournament held in Watsonville this year. California has so many leagues Little League International split the state into NorCal and SoCal. The winner of NorCal advances to the West Region held in San Bernadino. The winner of the West Region advances to the Little League World Series held in Williamsport, PA.
